  1. Babies born to a mother infected with hepatitis B will be offered a dose at birth simultaneously with HB immunoglobulin.
  2. A second vaccine dose is given at age 4 weeks to those babies born to mothers infected with hepatitis B. These infants thereafter follow the national vaccination programme.
