Babies born to a mother infected with hepatitis B or unknown immune status will be offered a first vaccine dose within 12 hours after birth and simultaneously with HB immunoglobulin in case of HbsAg positive mother. Following vaccine doses are given 1 month later and the third dose, 6 months after first dose.
  6. School-based vaccination in 7th grade (mandatory)
  7. Since January 1st, 2017, the meningococcal C vaccine is offered to all children aged under 2 years with 100% reimbursement on a voluntary-based approach.
  8. School-based vaccination in 6th grade
  9. Children born after 31 July 2018 (mandatory)
  10. School-based vaccination in 7th grade (for girls and boys) with 9-valent vaccine, on a voluntary-based approach, free of charge
  11. Hungary’s recommendation is for children 6–35 months old with chronic pulmonary, cardiovascular, renal or hepatic disease, metabolic disorders or immunosuppression due to disease or treatment
