School-based vaccination in 6th grade (mandatory)

Babies born to a mother infected with hepatitis B or unknown immune status will be offered a first vaccine dose within 12 hours after birth and simultaneously with HB immunoglobulin in case of HbsAg positive mother. Following vaccine doses are given 1 month later and the third dose, 6 months after first dose.
School-based vaccination in 7th grade (mandatory)
Since January 1st, 2017, the meningococcal C vaccine is offered to all children aged under 2 years with 100% reimbursement on a voluntary-based approach.
School-based vaccination in 6th grade
Children born after 31 July 2018 (mandatory)
School-based vaccination in 7th grade (for girls and boys) with 9-valent vaccine, on a voluntary-based approach, free of charge
Hungary’s recommendation is for children 6–35 months old with chronic pulmonary, cardiovascular, renal or hepatic disease, metabolic disorders or immunosuppression due to disease or treatment
