  2. As of May 2025, vaccination against tuberculosis is included in the Swedish national vaccination program for certain children, and thus funded by the state. BCG vaccination should be given at 6 weeks of age, or thereafter (up to 6 years of age) to children who are at increased risk of being infected with TB, because of having a household contact with origin from a country with increased or high TB incidence.   11. Given to students in first or second grade
  12. Gender-neutral (boys and girls) school-based programme. 9-valent vaccine offered in fifth grade.
  13. Children 13-17 years are offered catch-up vaccinations (two doses) free of charge through school health care.
